One minute paradise, the next minute absolute mayhem. While grieving about leaving paradise, I thought why should you have to change your surf wax between locations. Its 2022, why are we doing the same old thing our ancestors the old boys were doing in the 70's!

With blind optimism I went to work, drawing on my backgrounds in science and product development, along with a mild surfing obsession. If I knew it was hard, I may never have done this.

What started as nearly burning down the kitchen melting bees wax with coconut oil and pine resin turned into a deep rabbit hole. I set the bar so high, with the mindset 'if this isn't better than anything on the market, it's not worth doing. Walk away'.

Fast forward 4 years and I have gone through 100 formulations. 100 ideas, tested in the water, tweaked, or thrown out completely.

Countless surf sessions. Roastings from the boys whenever something was not on point. Holding myself to the highest standard... because if it wasn't doing something special, I'd happily walk away.

A couple of the big breakthroughs were accidental. Things happened I did not expect, and with a bit of luck and alot of hard work I have something special here.

The Orange PRO Top Coat is designed for water temperatures from 16°C to 30°C and the Pink PRO Top Coat for 8°C to 18°C. In cold conditions, the Orange was just too hard to rub on. It works but under 16°C the scientists showed the Orange Pro Top Coat was started to get beaten by the competition.
